Sanjeev Kaushik is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Reap, an advisory firm licensed in the United States and Australia. His approach combines disciplined momentum investing with rigorous risk management, informed by extensive experience in stock investing and Options trading.
Principles and methodologies
Principles decide what we will do. Methodologies decide how.
Our principles were not drafted in advance. They are what is left after years in the markets: every mistake a trader or an investor can make, made and recorded, and every approach from short-term trading to long-term ownership tried and measured. What survived that testing is what we still do.
A principle is a guardrail. It says what we stay with and what we leave alone, and it does not move because the market has. A methodology is how a principle is applied to a decision — which instruments qualify, on what evidence, over what horizon, and against how much risk.
Every recommendation can be traced back through its methodology to the principle that permits it. A trade that cannot be traced that way is not published, whatever its merits look like at the time.
